Volunteers & Visitors
We value family involvement. There are many opportunities to visit/volunteer in the building with your child’s class.
Visitors and volunteers must:
- Check in at the office.
- Wear a visitor badge.
- Follow district volunteer requirements.
- Exit the building immediately following the event or reason for visiting. Visits should not extend into instructional time unless supporting with a specific task requested by the teacher.
Our school community greatly values family involvement and we are thrilled to welcome volunteers to Ashland! To ensure student safety, all volunteers are required to submit an official HCPS volunteer application prior to serving in our building. This documentation is also mandatory for any individual wishing to chaperone field trips. Please ensure this form is completed to be eligible for selection. We appreciate your continued support of our students and staff!
*Make sure you get a volunteer punch card when you are at Ashland and volunteering! This will allow you to track your volunteer hours and when you get 15, you will be sorted into one of our five houses!
Lunch
Starting the Tuesday after Labor Day, we are delighted to invite parents and guardians to join their children for lunch. We ask for your patience during the initial weeks of the school year as we establish essential cafeteria routines with our students.
All visitors must present a valid government-issued ID at the front office to obtain a visitor badge. To maintain our standard of safety and district policy, guests and their students will enjoy their meal in designated areas, such as the courtyard or Huruma; please note that classmates or friends may not join these groups. If a family member other than a primary guardian, such as a grandparent, plans to visit, parents must provide a signed written note to the school. We require a photo ID for every guest entering our classrooms or cafeteria and eagerly anticipate your arrival!
